Commissioners met and approved routine items (new WIC hire, park tractor, safety policies, telecom audit, phone contract, road vacation, estuary plan funding). Riley Ranch Motocross Track is transitioning from Coos Riders (13+ years of service—huge thanks to Jason Budewig!) to Chuck & Decia Woods of Quad Cross Northwest. The new operators plan more events for quads, side-by-sides & bikes, plus better spectator areas. Everyone is collaborating on a smooth hand-off so the track stays open and gets even busier.

The meeting covered a range of topics, including amending the Coos County Code, a proposed fire district annexation, various grant agreements and contracts, vehicle purchases, and budget discussions. The commissioners also discussed the county's challenging budget situation and the need to find ways to address a projected $1.8 million shortfall.

The meeting discussed the future of the Coos County Urban Renewal Agency (URA). The group ultimately recommended that the URA not be disbanded or under-levied, and instead explore having the county manage the agency, potentially through a prepaid services agreement, to continue using it as an economic development tool.
